Keith Phillips

Keith Phillips is a founding partner of Marketing Decision Science and has over 20 years of experience as a senior executive in the insurance and financial services industries. His emphasis is the application of decision science and segmentation to product, promotion, distribution, and CRM strategies for firms seeking either cost reduction or product expansion opportunities. His experience in both analysis and senior operating management ensures the accuracy and the immediate relevance of his work.

  • Mr. Phillips specializes in applying segmentation and lifetime profitability analysis across the firm, ensuring that all elements of the customer acquisition, management, and retention experience are consistent with the profit maximization. He has particular experience in both direct marketing and distribution through intermediaries and is skilled in integrating web, call center, and retail fulfillment with mail, TV, and phone solicitation.
  • During a multi-national career with such companies as Progressive Insurance, Capital One and AIG, Mr. Phillips has led firms as they expanded their distribution into new channels. He is well versed in both maximizing the profitability of such efforts and in managing the inevitable channel conflict associated with such initiatives.
  • Prior to entering the financial services field, Mr. Phillips held a number of positions in brand management and physical distribution with GE’s consumer and logistics divisions.
  • As a new initiative moves from start up to mature, the optimal use of data evolves. Having successfully started and/or sold a number of start ups, both de novo and within pre-existing firms, Mr. Phillips is well positioned to advise firms on how best to align their strategies to the evolving state of their data as firms mature.
